Student of the Week — 02/06/12

Mehek, age 6  view her artwork

I like to draw because you get messy! I enjoyed making the background. I like it because you make it nice.

“Mehek is very enthusiastic about art. She always comes in with a big bright smile asking what she will get to work on that day. She puts a lot of effort into each project she does. It is so enjoyable to have a student in the class that is always positive and happy to work on anything new. I have had her in past sessions and look forward to continuing to have her in future ones!”

Student of the Week — 01/30/12

Bailey, age 7

“I had a lot of fun making the clay pinch pot owl. I love animals and art so this project was perfect for me. I’ve enjoyed art all my life and have taken after school art at SES for 3 years. My favorite things in art are working with clay and painting and I love to draw.”  ~Bailey

“Bailey has been so great to have in class these past two sessions because she is always so thrilled to be there. She is excited about the projects and takes great care in the planning and execution of each one. I really enjoyed seeing Bailey’s hard work on her pinch pot owl. She did so well creating small details like earmuffs and the patterned textures of the owl’s feathers. Bailey has a lot of talent and creativity and I cannot wait to see what else she produces!”
